Egypt’s GASC launches local vegoil tender for March 25-April 15

Egypt’s state buyer GASC returned to the market on Monday seeking offers for locally supplied sunoil and soyoil to be delivered between March 25 and April 15, sources told Agricensus.

GASC is looking for offers for at least 3,000 mt of soyoil and 2,000 mt of sunoil.

The tender is set to close on Thursday.

Its previous local vegoil tender closed January 16, and GASC bought 5,000 mt of soyoil at EGP13,500/mt CFR ($851.71/mt) – then the highest-paid price since September 2017 – for delivery between February 25 – March 10.

That compares to the 60,000 mt of overseas soyoil it bought at $878.69/mt CFR a week later, and the 41,000 mt of overseas sunoil at $805/mt CFR for delivery between March 3-17.
