GASC, Egypt’s state grains buyer, returned to the market Thursday and bought 475,000 mt of Russian- and Romanian-origin wheat for delivery April 28-May 8.

It bought eight cargoes in total, paying an average $218.95/mt FOB and $234.59/mt CFR for cargoes from GTCS, Daewoo, ADM, Aston, Cargill, and Ameropa.

At its previous tender on March 15, GASC bought 240,000 mt of Russian- and Romanian-origin milling wheat.
