Soybean commentary: Futures down on higher US dollar after Trump’s potential tariffs
Soybean futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on Tuesday November 26, pressured by a stronger US Dollar Index after US President-elect Donald Trump vowed to implement trade tariffs on Chinese imports. Favorable crop conditions in South America and weaker soymeal also drove down prices.
