Ukraine harvest at 93% complete, with 14.9m ha lifted: Ministry

Ukraine has now completed harvesting activity on 14.9 million ha, or 93% of its expected planted area, with 76.6 million mt of produce collected in the period to November 18, data from the country's agriculture ministry showed Friday.

The increase in the harvested area for the week was 2 percentage points.

The corn harvest progressed 7 percentage points in the week, reaching 31.7 million mt from 4.4 ha or 80% of the projected area, according to the data.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, corn was harvested in Volyn, Donetsk, Mykolaev, Kharkov, and Kherson regions.

Harvesting is nearing completion for sunflower that has been harvested on 99% or 6.44 hectares of harvesting area, with a stable yield of 2.45 mt/ha.

There are 15.79 million mt of sunflower in the bins.

Completed soybean harvest completed on 1.28 million hectares, with 3.38 million mt of beans harvested with an average yield of 2.6 mt/ha.
