Brazilian soybean exports are projected to reach 8.7 million mt in August, up 74% year on year, while corn and soymeal shipments are also projected to surpass last year’s levels for the month, the country’s grain exporters' association Anec said in a report on Tuesday.

Anec is considering the possibility of shorter cargo loading for both soybean and corn exports in August.

That said, soybean exports could reach between 7- 8.7 million mt by the end of this month while last year Brazil exported 5 million mt in August.

Brazilian corn shipments are expected to reach 8.8 million mt in August, up 27.5% from the 6.9 million mt sent abroad in the same month last year.

However, Anec considers the possibility of shorter cargo loading, leading to shipment volumes between 7.8 – 9.8 million mt.

Soymeal exports are forecast at 2.2 million mt in August, 29.4% higher than the 1.7 million mt from the same month last year.
