Russian wheat exports in the week to December 27 stood at 20.7 million mt, up 34% from the same stage last year, data from the Ministry of Agriculture showed.

Barley exports have almost doubled to 3.48 million mt, while corn exports have dropped 4.1% on year to 2.23 million mt. Total grain exports now total 26.595 million mt, 34.8% higher than in the 2016/17 marketing year.

While much of the market in Russia is out of office for the traditional extended New Year break, execution has continued at pace with ports reportedly running triple shifts to meet exporters’ demand.
